The Institute at ASU started working in 2020 and supports 3 to 5 projects per year.
The Institute grantees must excel in innovation and demonstrate a high promise for transformative impact on city inhabitants’ quality of life. They must have clear path to creating a real-world technology in the mid-term. The allowed project stages range from ideation to prototyping.
The Institute is driving a people-centric vision of future cities. It strives to make cities safer and more secure, healthier, more sustainable and resilient, and more personally enriching. The Institute welcomes projects that will create scalable technologies, applicable to cities and communities of different sizes and types.
